Brief specification of the Eagle 16-30 model H tractor included an engine built by the company, using a two-cylinder, horizontal, valve-in-head design. Rated at 500 rpm, it carried an 8-inch bore and stroke. the sliding gear transmission permitted two forward speeds of 2 and 3 mph Total weight was 7,210 lbs. Alsoi included was a schebler Model A carburetor and a Dixie Model 462 magneto. Kerosene fuel was used throughout the test. A number of repairs and adjustements were necessary. The automatic grease cup on the left-hand connecting rod came off, burning out the rod bearing. It was also necessary to adjust the clutch during the test. Using low gear, the 16-30 developed a maximum of 19.97 drawbar hp, pulling a 3,615 lb. load at 2.07 mph. A maximum of 31.8 brake hp was displayed. At its ratyed load of 30 hp, fuel consumption totaled 3.65 gallons of kerosene per hour, for an economy rating of 8.285 hp_hours per gallon of fuel. A dry centrifugal air cleaner was apparently accepted as standard equipement.
